THE COX FAMILY TIMES: Trunks of Treats

We had a great time at our church for the Fall Festival! Our church went all out! There were games, hotdogs, snowcones, popcorn, cotton candy, prizes,cake walks, inflatables and of course.... candy!! It was a huge success. Around 1000 people came through. It was such a fun night. For the first time, the church had trunks of treats. David and I decorated our trunk. We were a bit nervous because I had been talking trash saying we were going to win. (The winner won a gift card to Outback). Our pastor had been talking it up with me. So David got nervous since I had been running my mouth :). I had heard that kids were going to be the judges, so I decided we needed to apeal to the kids!! We had a "Down on the Farm" theme. We had a pretend barn and pulled out all of Hannah's stuffed animals. A big thank you to all of you that have given Hannah stuffed animals throughout her life thus far... Because... WE WON!!!!! Rumor is that the kids liked the fact that we had music playing in our car!!! Ours certainly was not the best. Our music pastor and his wife had "candy land" and it was great. Another car was cookie monster and it was fantastic too!!

Hannah was a lion and it was so fun with her this year. She LOVED her costume and cried when we took it off. When you ask her what the lion says, she would say, "RRRHHHH" She strutted around and roared for everyone. We were so pleased with her. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and was such a little trooper! She enjoyed the candy, well she loved the suckers... but more than that - she just loved being dressed up and walking around saying, "hey."

As we left last night, David said, "I was really proud to be a part of Riverhills tonight!!" We feel blessed!
