She's growing up!

It's both a sad and happy day for me. Today, David decided it was time to take down Hannah's crib and make it into a "big girl bed." Oh my this was difficult. Luckily it just looks like the front part of her crib is gone, making it look like a daybed. I shed a few tears. It's so hard for me to believe that on Monday my baby will be 2 years old. TWO YEARS OLD. Just yesterday we were standing in the hospital wondering if that was her crying. Just two days ago, we were having her dedicated. Just three days ago we were feeding her cereal for the first time. Time has flown by. Everyone tells you this, but who really believes it? Last January, Jessica and Falyn were teaching her how to walk and this January - she's running all over the place, jumping on beds, wearing "high-heeled Snow White shoes", finding Mommy's shoes and everything else that goes with being two.
As I reflect back on the last two years, I'm overwhelmed with God's goodness to our family. He gave us this precious gift that we call Hannah. The last few months have been a hard transition for us at times and yet a wonderful time for our family as well. Hannah has done great through it all. At the moment, God has blessed us with the opportunity for me to stay home with Hannah. I am so thankful and continually ask the Lord to help us make this work.
So enjoy some pictures of our baby who is now officially a toddler. I'll post some birthday pictures later! She's growing up...we can't believe it!
Enjoying a January day in Florida!

Waiting on Daddy to finish her big girl bed.

SOO excited about her new bed. Notice she has no pants on. For some reason, she continually pulls her pajama pants off. Drives her Daddy CRAZY!!! (Probably why she does it :) Has a little bit of her mother in her. haha)

The finished product.
For those of you wondering how she did in her new bed. Well nap time was interesting. She got up several times and came out of her room. Then she would hear us walking towards her room and we would hear her running and jumping in her bed. When we would get in there, she would act like she'd been laying there the entire time. Tonight, we only had to tell her once to lay down in the bed. However, we've not been through a full nights sleep so we'll see how it goes after tonight:) Wish us luck!

Hi Keena! your DD is so precious. I remember when the bed change happened with my son. It was actually even more shocking. right before he turned 2 he looked at the big bed in his room and said 'i sleep there mommy.' completely out of the blue, no transitioning, nothing. he was ready way before i was. he's 9 now. :)

i found your blog through facebook. you still look the same and i still love your hair!
